Making Funny Face

This is possibly the best job on the planet

When you arrive at Misty Glen you'll know it is a special place!  Our mission?  1. To have dogs thrive under our care in a safe and happy environment.  2.  To help make our doggie parents' lives better by providing loving care (and tons of fun) for their furbabies.

Our farm is one of the oldest in Westlake, established in 1880 as part of the Dover Township.  It's 5 tree-filled acres and New England style farm buildings.  It's a bit of a walk back in time, a little piece of country in the heart of our bustling hometown of Westlake.  The Misty Glen dog boarding operation was first established by the former City of Cleveland dog warden and champion dog breeders George & Esther Buehl

Dogs have always been a staple in our family life.  So when we happened on the opportunity to move to an urban farm, Misty Glen, with a century home (we've renovated a number of properties prior to this) we jumped at the chance.  After both of us having fast-paced careers in motorsports, we truly enjoyed the idea of a peaceful atmosphere to come home to.  We decided to expand an existing dog boarding business to include large outdoor play areas for a doggie day camp, and quickly learned this is possibly the best job on the planet! As I manage kennel and day camp operations, Robbie continues to work in professional motorsports.  As a former professional IndyCar driver, he now is a team owner, sports marketing pro, television commentator and founded a number of philanthropy projects, such as Racing for Kids and Teen Streets Driving Skills.(see buhlsport.com),

As for Misty Glen Country Retreat for Dogs, you can find us on Center Ridge Road, just west of the Westlake Recreation Center entrance (about 4 mins. from Crocker Park).

We are honored for the opportunity to provide loving care for your pet while you are away.

Please give us a call to schedule a tour!
